Dinner @ Borsch Steakhouse
The fukepaike gang broke free from our busy schedules to meet up at Serangoon Gardens on Sunday to have a feast at Borsch.
Nothing much to talk about in terms of the exterior of the restaurant, quite the same as the inside. The restaurant looks rather old already. Even though it is a 'Russian' restaurant, the settings (many pictures of horses) and ambience have no link to Russia at all. (maybe except for the menu: borsch soup and shashlik- a type of russian kebab) The other food sounds local and western. What worried us was the thought of KGBs hiding somewhere in the restaurant. haha...
There's 3 types of set dinner: the normal dinner set, executive dinner set and supreme dinner set. All of us ordered the normal set , except for me, I only ordered dessert.
The wait for the food was exceptionally long but we killed time by talking crap and crap.
1st, the appetizer - shrimp salad or egg with caviar.
then the soup - mushroom soup (is it?) or borsch special soup
next the main course: got some variety but most of us chose steak. Isaac aka Qm took chicken
followed by dessert of peach ice-cream or pancake
all sets comes with drinks too!
=$13.80 (no service charge!)
(hmm... did not take photos of those food)
See all of us below!
